Intrinsically Safe Barrier Turck MK1-22UP-Ex0 24VDC/K07

Product Description

The Turck MK1-22UP-Ex0/24VDC/K07 from the multimoduL series is a highly reliable, dual-channel isolating switching amplifier (intrinsically safe galvanic barrier) designed to safely transmit discrete signals from hazardous areas (Ex-zone) to non-hazardous safe areas. This device is specifically engineered for connecting proximity sensors compliant with the DIN EN 60947-5-6 (NAMUR) standard or mechanical dry contacts located in explosion-prone environments. It features two independent, short-circuit proof PNP transistor outputs. The front panel is equipped with individual mechanical slide switches for each channel, allowing users to easily configure the operating mode between direct action (NO, normally open) and inverse action (NC, normally closed). Built-in LED indicators provide clear visual feedback on the system's power status and the current switching state of both channels.

Application

This switching amplifier is widely utilized in industrial automated control systems across petrochemical, oil and gas, chemical, food processing, and pharmaceutical industries. It is used to safely read and isolate signals from limit switches, NAMUR proximity sensors, and control push-buttons installed directly within explosive atmospheres, preventing dangerous electrical energy from entering the hazardous zone.
